96% of organizations faced disruption in the past two years.
High-resilience companies have almost double the survival rate of their low-resilience peers
Organizations fostering resilience see a 25% increase in workforce productivity.
But only 23% of companies feel confident in their resilience strategy.

So… what do you actually do?
Mainstream business still thinks of resilience as an individual’s ability to cope with stress, adversity or change. That’s true — and vitally important. But focusing on the individual obscures what needs to happen at the system level to equip organizations to be flexible, innovative and anticipatory.
When the system is inflexible, telling individuals to be resilient is like telling people to solve climate crisis by wearing a sweater and changing their lightbulbs. 🤦
In a world where economic, geopolitical, environmental and health-related shocks are increasing in frequency and severity, there is a pressing need for organizations to not only prioritize resilience in theory — but to implement concrete strategies that bridge the gap between perception and reality.
My work reframes the “narrative” of resilience so we can see it properly as the flexibility, speed and intelligence of a high-functioning operational and leadership decision making system.
I partner with clients to help you achieve this crucial leadership objective.

a quick intro to strategic narrative consulting
So… what do you actually do?
Narrative is an essential leadership tool that helps organizations connect where you’re going, how you’re going to get there and why it matters.
When the story is clear, people can work with clarity, inspiration and alignment. Products find market fit, people find purpose and leaders get results. But when the story isn’t clear — or when the story changes — organizations must find and align around new narratives.
That’s where I come in. I help by:
Uncovering the source of misalignment between strategy, culture, and communication
Facilitating high-trust conversations that reveal what's stuck or unsaid
Guiding narrative design processes so people can see the future more clearly — and move toward it together
Co-creating new language and messaging that’s emotionally real, culturally resonant, and strategically useful
Building internal communications capacity so teams can carry the narrative forward
I work closely with executives, founders and org. transformation leaders — shaping vision, strategy, and all kinds of messaging used across your org. My work can apply to strategy, brand, sales, culture, or transformation narratives — or all the above.
My work is complex — the best way to understand how I can help you is to schedule a call.

What is Strategic Narrative?
Narrative is increasingly recognized as an essential leadership tool for answering mission-critical business questions like where are we going, why does it matter and what role do I play in order to get there. Yet narrative remains a difficult term to pin down.
Narrative can mean messaging — such as the communications businesses use in strategy, sales, marketing, culture, change management, leadership development and beyond. More complexly, narrative can also mean the underlying pattern of meaning that shapes how people make decisions and take action. This makes strategic narrative more than a tagline, mission statement or a framework. It is a mindset — one that is essential for effective, human-centered leadership.
This mindset, at its best, can create alignment, inspiration, and impact by allowing people to see into the future and collaborate across difference. Critically, this mindset requires the understanding that narratives change. They are living, breathing entities that respond to outside forces, like the market, as well as internal forces within the organization — rather than “stories” told in jargon.
In short, narrative is sophisticated. Fortunately, there is a wealth of science, research and tested practice that can guide leaders to use narrative to its full potential.
phase Zero — the starting point
Phase Zero is the first step in your Narrative Change Process
Phase Zero is a 2‑3 week diagnostic that uncovers what’s blocking your communication and pinpoints a practical path towards change — guaranteed or your money back.
Rather than beginning with assumptions or templates, Phase Zero creates space for me to listen deeply, observe patterns, and collaborate with you to surface the unseen — so you can translate what you discover into a clear, evolutionary roadmap.
What Phase Zero Includes
Narrative Listening
I conduct deep interviews and listening sessions with leaders and stakeholders to surface implicit beliefs, emotional currents, and unspoken tensions — the stuff beneath the surface.
Pattern Mapping
I identify key narrative patterns — where stories align, where they clash, and where they’re missing entirely. You’ll see your organizational dynamics through a new lens.
Strategic Reframing
We distill insights into a clear diagnostic: what’s shaping the current story, why it’s stuck, and what narrative wants to emerge instead.Narrative Ecosystem Snapshot
You get a high-level visual map of the stories at play — across strategy, culture, leadership, and communications.Leadership Debrief & Roadmap
We hold a debrief session to review the findings and co-create a clear, actionable path forward — whether it’s narrative development, alignment work, or storytelling facilitation.
What You’ll Get:
An assessment of your narrative ecosystem, identifying strengths, gaps and hidden human-level blockages
A concise summary narrative — a synthesis of the patterns and themes I’ve observed, translated into your language
Three proposed change programs, tailored to you with a range of scope and budgets — from DIY implementation to full support
A facilitated debrief and planning session where we’ll explore the emotional and strategic implications together
A renewed, elevated sense of what your organization can accomplish through smart, meaningful communication — and by embracing change authentically
how my work is different from change management
Change management moves the parts. Narrative change moves the heart. ❤️
Narrative change is the process of shifting the deeper story an organization uses to make sense of itself, its work, and the world around it.
Narrative change becomes necessary when:
Strategy shifts but people are still operating from an old story
There’s misalignment between leadership, teams, and stakeholders
A new phase of growth demands a new sense of purpose
Cultural transformation is needed — in behavior, technology, values or norms
Because narratives live in both words and feelings, changing them requires more than just swapping out language or updating messaging. It’s about evolving the underlying meaning structure — the beliefs, assumptions, and emotional truths — that shape how people think, act, and relate.
It takes listening, pattern recognition, and co-creation — and the willingness to let go of stories that no longer serve.
Change Management | Narrative Consulting | |
---|---|---|
Level of Work | Surface systems: behavior, communication, implementation | Core meaning: identity, belief, emotional truth |
What It Engages | Tasks, timelines, training, KPIs | Assumptions, values, worldview, felt experience |
How Change Happens | Through planning and persuasion | Through insight and shared sensemaking |
Response to Friction | Fix the resistance (train harder, explain more) | Explore the resistance (what story is being protected?) |
Core Belief | Change can be managed | Change must be understood — and narrated |
Type of Shift | External: what people do differently | Internal: how people make sense of what’s happening |
Ultimate Aim | Compliance and stability | Alignment, trust, and transformation |
