Most organizational change misses the human-level reality. We try to manage, plan, and program change — even though we know full well that the human-level of change can’t actually be managed, planned, or programmed.

A generation ago, we got away with these strategies — even despite the reality that over 70% of organizational change programs failed. But today, when change is continuous, unpredictable, and exponential, we simply can’t afford that rate of failure. — or the fear, fatigue, resistance, and disconnection that it inevitably accelerates.
