I am a Canadian storyteller and new media installation artist. I call myself a lovewallah.
A good biography should be a story about things you love. I love: frisbees, mangoes, walking, the redwood trees, big mountains, and meandering conversation.
In 2007, I fell in love with India and have spent nearly two years travelling, volunteering, working, and learning in the region. I've collected thousands of photographs and nearly as many stories. You can view some of my photographs in my portfolio, lovewallah in india, and hear some of my stories on Cowbird.
In 2010, I held a photography exhibition onboard a public transit vehicle in Toronto, Canada, as part of the CONTACT Photography Festival. Each day, I'd call the local transit commission and locate the car, which I'd ride for hours, from terminus to terminus, inciting random conversation with strangers. I called it What Does It Mean To Be A Human Being? Check out some photos and read some media about it here.
From Fall 2010 to Fall 2011, I took the show on the road, walking more then 3,000 kilometers along the Pacific coastline from Vancouver to Tijuana. I'm currently working on a book and multimedia exhibition to retell the story of that journey and the lessons I learned about love and coming of age along the way. You can view the blog from that journey here.
I have a newsletter that I use to send out stories and photographs from my ongoing travels. Please consider signing up by following this link.
